Mr. Saeed bin Yahya Al-Sarmi is a highly experienced legal professional with more than twenty-five years of expertise in criminal law, economic crimes, specialized investigations, and litigation before all levels of courts in the Sultanate of Oman.
He began his career with the Royal Oman Police in 2000, serving as an investigation officer in the Economic Crimes Department of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigations. He later advanced to senior leadership positions, including Assistant Director of Economic Crimes Investigation and Head of Investigation Section, where he led and supervised major cases involving banks, financial institutions, fraud, money laundering, and organized economic crimes.
In recognition of his specialized expertise, Mr. Al-Sarmi was selected as a certified lecturer in fraud and money laundering crimes and contributed to the training of security and legal professionals. In 2004, he received the Best Investigator Award worldwide for combating forged credit card crimes.
After concluding his service with the Royal Oman Police in 2017, he transitioned into private legal practice and founded Saeed Al-Sarmi Advocates & Legal Consultants, handling complex and high-profile cases. In 2026, he joined Baqi, Al Balushi & Co. (B&CO) as Senior Counsel, serving as a key legal reference for the firm and supervising complex and specialized matters.
